What to check on your phone

  1. Exact model: open Settings → General → About on iPhone, or Settings → About phone on Android. Check the model number when regional versions differ.
  2. eSIM hardware: look for Add eSIM in Cellular / Mobile Data, SIM manager or Network & internet. An EID does not prove the phone is carrier unlocked.
  3. Carrier lock: on iPhone, look for “No SIM restrictions” under Carrier Lock. On Android, ask the original carrier. Only the carrier can confirm or complete an unlock.
