A model being listed does not mean every regional version supports eSIM. A missing model means we have not verified it.
The original 2016 Pixel has no eSIM support. Google documents restrictions for Pixel 2 and Pixel 3, including purchase-channel and carrier exceptions. Pixel 3a bought with Verizon service or in Japan does not support eSIM. Those restrictions stay in the individual records below.
A supported Pixel 3a or later can use a physical SIM plus an eSIM, subject to the earlier-model carrier and purchase-market exceptions above. Two active eSIM profiles are supported on Pixel 7 and later when the carrier permits it. For US Pixel 10 and later, Google separately identifies eSIM-only models and a Pro Fold exception.
Use Settings → Network & internet → SIMs for the available setup options. Ask the original carrier about an unlock and the chosen eSIM provider about model acceptance. A Google eSIM specification does not guarantee every travel plan can activate.

Google supports two active eSIM profiles on Pixel 7 and later when the carrier permits the feature. That is a separate capability from storing several profiles or using one physical SIM with one eSIM.
No. Google identifies Japan-bought Pixel 3a devices as an exception. A Pixel 3a bought with Verizon service also needs the documented purchase-channel restriction checked. Changing your travel destination does not change the original device version.

An EID indicates eSIM hardware. It does not prove the phone is unlocked, that every provider will accept it or that a plan includes coverage at your destination. Do not send us your IMEI, EID or account details.
