S20 FE is the exception to the family name
Galaxy S20 FE does not support eSIM. It must not inherit a positive answer from the S20, S20+ or S20 Ultra. Samsung also sells market-specific versions of the main models, so their eSIM result still needs a regional check.
If an S20-family phone has no Add eSIM option, identify whether it is an FE first. For the other models, check software and the original market with Samsung or the selling carrier before paying for a plan.
Check the actual S20 in your hand
Open Settings → About phone and note the model number. Then open Settings → Connections → SIM manager and look for Add eSIM. Older software can call these SIM card manager and Add mobile plan.
If the option is missing on a model that should support it, check for an official software update and ask Samsung or the original carrier about that exact version. Do not assume a firmware change or an eSIM app can convert an unsupported variant.
An EID or eSIM menu is useful device evidence, but it does not establish carrier-unlock status. Ask the original carrier before using a plan from another provider.
Questions about Galaxy S20
Do Samsung Galaxy S20+ and S20 Ultra support eSIM?
They have eSIM-capable versions. The full model number, original market, software and carrier requirements still need checking. A family name alone cannot establish support on an imported phone.
Does Samsung Galaxy S20 FE support eSIM?
No. Galaxy S20 FE is a physical-SIM model in the manufacturer evidence cited here. Unlocking it or installing an app does not add eSIM hardware.
The model records on this page retain their own regional and hardware evidence. Compatibility is documented from manufacturer sources. This does not represent hands-on activation testing.
EXACT MODEL EVIDENCE
Check the version you own
Compare the full model and A-number or SM-number where listed. The phone’s original market can differ from the shop where you bought it or the country you are visiting.

Check region or variant
eSIM depends on the purchase market, exact variant and installed software. Confirm Add eSIM is available in SIM manager.
Documented purchase markets: Australia, Canada, Germany, Spain, India, United States, United Kingdom, France, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt. An unlisted market is unverified in this catalog, rather than an automatic “no”.

Open Settings → About phone for the full model number, then Connections → SIM manager for Add eSIM. Older software may say SIM card manager and Add mobile plan. If neither option is available, ask Samsung or the selling carrier about that exact model and software. Ask the original carrier separately about unlocking.
An EID indicates eSIM hardware. It does not prove the phone is unlocked, that every provider will accept it or that a plan includes coverage at your destination. Do not send us your IMEI, EID or account details.
