This is where two active eSIMs become an option
Apple confirms dual eSIM support for iPhone 13 models and later. On a supported version, a home eSIM and a travel eSIM can therefore be active together. Choose one line for cellular data; two active profiles do not combine their data allowances.
A Hong Kong 13 mini is not the same case as a 13 Pro
The 13 mini is in Apple’s Hong Kong and Macao eSIM group. The 13, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max sold there use two physical nano-SIMs. China mainland versions remain physical-only.
Before buying for a refurbished iPhone 13, ask for the A-number rather than accepting “international version” as proof. Use the model and region checks together below.
Questions about iPhone 13
Do iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max support eSIM?
Yes, in supported markets, with two active eSIMs available. The China mainland, Hong Kong and Macao versions of these two models use physical SIMs instead.
Does every iPhone 13 mini support eSIM?
No. The mainland-China version is a physical-SIM exception. The Hong Kong and Macao mini supports eSIM, unlike the larger iPhone 13 models sold there.
Can iPhone 13 use a home eSIM and a travel eSIM together?
A supported regional version supports two active eSIMs. Select one for cellular data. The phone must also meet the carriers’ unlocking and plan requirements.

Purchase-market rules apply. The phone must also be carrier-unlocked for an unrelated travel provider.
Model numbers in the sourced record: A2482, A2631, A2634, A2635, A2633.
Open Settings → General → About. Tap Model Number for the A-number. Under Carrier Lock, “No SIM restrictions” is Apple’s unlocked indication. Look under Cellular or Mobile Data for Add eSIM.
An EID indicates eSIM hardware. It does not prove the phone is unlocked, that every provider will accept it or that a plan includes coverage at your destination. Do not send us your IMEI, EID or account details.
